All of our obedience classes are designed around safety and effective learning for both dogs and humans. We focus a lot on engagement between you and your dog as well as effective communication via our marker training system.
If your dog is reactive and or aggressive towards humans or other dogs, is terrified around lots of people, other dogs or new situations we suggest starting with private lessons to address these behavior concerns before joining a group class.
We welcome any other type of dog in our group classes, the over excited, the distracted and even the unmotivated. If you are unsure if a group class is the right fit for your dog feel free to contact us!
These classes are held at our training facility and class sizes are kept small to give you one on one instruction as needed. If your dog is learning things at a faster rate than your classmates we will move you ahead in the curriculum to challenge your dogs skills and keep you both learning. Similarly if your dog is struggling with an exercise we will let you work at the pace that is needed for your dog to achieve success.

Novice Skills
This is our basic obedience class for dogs or puppies of any age. Its similar to Perfect Puppy but allows dogs of all ages in class.

Open Skills
This is our intermediate obedience class, perfect for dogs who have graduated from perfect puppy or novice skills.
Offered once a week for 6 weeks for $150.00 What will my dog learn? We will be building on the basic obedience skills previously learned by adding more distractions and duration to behaviors. Dogs will also learn leave it, spin, fading of food rewards, stand, some advanced obedience moves, leg weave, dog and handler greeting and a nose touch. Obedience on the Go
This is our obedience class that takes our skills on the road!
Offered once a week for 4 weeks for $140 What will my dog learn? Each week this class will meet at a different dog friendly location to proof your dogs obedience skills, teach them to work around real world distractions and create a dog that is easy to take anywhere. We will primarily work in dog friendly stores, in the summer one week will be at a park. |
Excellent Skills
Our highest level classroom basic obedience class. Great for dogs who have graduated from open skills.
Offered once a week for 4 weeks for $140 What will my dog learn? We will be adding more distractions, distance and challenges to group stays, recalls and heel. Dogs will also learn how to jump through a hoop, work longer before a reward is given, more advanced obedience moves, down on recall. Plus more focus around distractions and control. Offered once a week for 4 weeks for $140.
This class will focus on the exercises seen in AKC obedience and is designed to get you and your dog ready to compete! Dogs should have a general understanding of all basic obedience commands such as sit, down, heel and stand with duration. We will be working on fine tuning all of these skills in accordance with AKC obedience rules. Multiple levels of this class will be offered. |
